Lake Travis Youth Lacrosse Association ( LTYL) is a A 501(c)(3) organization non-profit organization serving the Lake Travis ISD and broader communities with youth lacrosse activities.

Vision, Mission and Charter of LT Youth Lacrosse

Lake Travis Youth Lacrosse is an association dedicated to the growth and development of youth lacrosse in the Lake Travis area. We strive to provide both competitive and recreational experiences in a fun and safe manner with the utmost respect for the game and our players.

Mission

Lake Travis Youth Lacrosse is an association dedicated to the growth and development of youth lacrosse in the Lake Travis area. We strive to provide both competitive and recreational experiences in a fun and safe manner with the utmost respect for the game and our players. Lake Travis Youth Lacrosse’s mission is to act as a feeder program for Lake Travis High School Lacrosse program.

Charter/Principles

  • We follow and Use the US Lacrosse LADM development pathway
  • Provide physical literacy (i.e. agility, balance, coordination) training at every practice at every level.
  • Periodize training and rest time for your athletes to cut down on overuse injuries and burnout.
  • Encourage multi-sport/activity and cross-training to keep your athletes active and developing outside of your program.
  • Use developmentally appropriate drills and practice plans at all levels.
  • Provide qualified and certified coaches at all age levels.
  • Keep participation/competition costs reasonable. Find ways to increase numbers and retention rates from year to year, season to season.
  • Provide quality feedback and age-appropriate development benchmarks to parents and athletes.
  • Operate with an athlete-focused philosophy by creating fun, engaging and challenging sport experiences across all levels of development

Strategic Objectives for 2017-2020

  • Grow Youth Lacrosse base by 25% each year
  • Make an impact in the Lake Travis Community
  • Serve the Lake Travis High School Lacrosse program as a key feeder program
  • Work closely with Central Texas Youth Lacrosse Association building general lacrosse awareness in central Texas.
