    2019 Summer Camps and Clinics

    Dear LT Youth Lacrosse Families,

Summer is fast approaching and that is a great time of year to find some extra developmental opportunities for your son(s).  I have compiled a list of local camps/clinics/club teams that would be good offerings for your children. This is just an Austin based sampling, there are other opportunities in Dallas and Houston.  There are also numerous sleepaway lacrosse camps across the country that may be a good fit for our older kids. As more summer opportunities pop up I will add them to this list. I will also post this list on our website for future reference.

Off season lacrosse is becoming an essential aspect in the development of young lacrosse players.  Even in Central Texas where lacrosse is new and growing, if you are only playing in the spring you are falling behind.  If you look at the past 5 years of high school state champs, at least 75 percent of their rosters played some form of lacrosse in the offseason.  This year the #1 team in the state has 24 of their 28 players doing some form of consistent off season training. As 7v7 football has become an integral part of every football program, off season lacrosse is also becoming a necessary aspect in lacrosse development.  It is for this reason that I highly encourage all our families to find other playing opportunities for your son(s) during the off season. There are opportunities for players of all levels, beginners to advanced, so if you’re not sure what is a good fit for your son at their age please reach out.

I want to wish everyone good luck with the rest of your spring season.  If you are looking for opportunities or want to discuss what options may be a good fit for your son please feel to reach out to me directly.

    Youth Director
